Autumn in London, 2011

London never ceases to amaze me. I love the agitation – even if sometimes is too much, the mixture of cultures – even if you can easily get lost in it, and especially the way the sun rays fall on the brick victorian houses – even if it happens too rarely. It’s the 4th time I visit London and being back home, I can’t wait to go again!

 

Motivational Speeches

I’ve recently found a great article on 99%, that made me search for more “commencements” (you know, the speeches given by famous people at Harvard / Stanford / Yale graduation ceremonies), and I must share with you 2 of them, which I find to be totally amazing:

• “Life Is Not A Checklist of Achievement”, by J.K. Rowling – “It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all.”

• “Live Each Day As If It Were Your Last”, by Steve Jobs – “Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish.”

…and I think we’ve all heard about TED (Ideas Worth Spreading) and we find it great (I know I do!), but what other speeches inspired and motivated you along the years?

People

Whether you meet them in person or stumble on them online, there are some very interesting characters out there (in the bubble), making you question the life that you are used to living. Here’s a sign of appreciation to those doing things differently:
